End of the Holy Ramadan

April 20, 2023

Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, Dhaka, Bangladesh (August, 2020)
As we are at the end of Ramadan, I just want to share a few thoughts that are resonating in my mind.  💭
From my childhood I used to listen to my father's recitation during prayers. While saying salat the rhythm that my father follows was always there in my subconscious mind. To date I have a similar rhythm of recitations. In simple words I inherited this thing from him.  📖
My mother at her free time used to explain me the verses of the Quran and stories from the hadith. There are innumerable lessons that I got from her.  📿
One of them was:
Always ask the Almighty what you need, even if it's a mere shoe lace. For Allah likes people who ask directly to Him. If you are dependent on others, Allah too will keep you dependent on others. Remember that the Almighty is waiting for you to give, so you should ask each and everything only from Him
My prayers for my parents and for all the parents in the world for their wellbeing. They are the reason that we got to live in this beautiful world.
🤲
رَّبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا
Rabbir Hamhuma Kama Rabbayani Sagheera
Ya Allah! Have mercy on them [parents] both as they did care for me when I was little.
