Rashid Ahmed Rifat

Engineer & Researcher

I'm an electrical engineer from Bangladesh- the country of rivers and aesthetic natural beauty. From my childhood, I was fond of mathematics and physics, which lead me to enroll for my engineering degree. I completed my O & A Levels from Dhaka and later joined Independent University, Bangladesh for my bachelor's in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. I am a passionate researcher with experience in the field of photonics and renewable energy. I have 3 years' experience in working as a Research Assistant. After my graduation I worked as an Engineer in the generator division at a multinational company focused on energy.
Currently, I'm pursuing a master's degree in Smart Systems Integrated Solutions (SSIs) with an emphasis on design and fabrication practice of Micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS). I am a recipient of the prestigious Erasmus Mundus Joint Master scholarship funded by the European Union. Apart from study I'm working as a Research and Development Intern at nanoCaps- a Norwegian based startup manufacturing leading edge supercapacitors.
Apart from that, I love to travel, listen to music, hang out with friends, read books, and volunteer for social events. My future dream is to establish a tech company based on smart energy solutions for the people of Bangladesh. Furthermore, I also have plans to launch a technical teaching platform for underprivileged students of my country.
